My upcoming Summer
I just got a call yesterday morning from a Non-profit organization called Bike and Build to tell me that I am going to be cycling from Providence, RI to Seattle, WA and building houses on my way there. I will be traveling with 20 other individuals and I'll be taking photos and blogging my entire experience. I would be leaving on June 10 and arriving on August 16.
Bike and Build is a non-profit that targets young people to help raises money for and awareness of affordable housing efforts. I am a fervent cyclist and me being interested in empowering other young people, I would like to create an informal conversation about how I could use this as an opportunity to have other young people to live my experience and be inspired.
This is my bike... (its a long story, I am not trying to make you feel sympathetic, I love my bike and I have fixed it, I just realized that thats the only photo of me and my bike.)
I am going to start building my trip website and will be starting to raise $4000 for my trip.
